If you were stranded on a Desert Island, what 5 CDs (Discs) would you want with you?

Your 5 Deseret Island Discs...

According to my 'play count' in iTunes the most played(hence most wanted) tunes I have played lately is:

1. Anything by 'They Might be Giants'
2. Dragonforce, Inhuman Rampage
3. Hermano, ...Only a Suggestion
4. McLusky, McLusky Do Dallas
5. Massive Attack, Mezzanine

Apparently these are the CDs I listen to most, albeit, these are the songs I listened to the most recently and in the greater number...

Disclaimer: my musical tastes could change before I am stranded, so this does not imply a binding contract...

1. Japan - Tin Drum
2. Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
3. Dead can Dance - Spleen and Ideal
4. This Mortal Coil - Filagree and Shadows
5. Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine

I guess those would do.

I loved System of a Down.. Sugar! was a great song! Serj Tankian has a great voice!

Tool played in Seattle with King Krimson and I think that was a historic event... two different eras of progressive rock acts would have been a nice thing to see...

NIN+ I downloaded Ghosts I-IV and it is such a great instramental recording... great to listen to while at work or creating the 'next best thing'... heh

LOL what a great trolling thread. I am extremely diverse in my taste of music. For most part I would have to go with greatest hits CDs so I'm covered. In no order....

1) Jimmy Buffet (you are on an island)
2) Metallica (for tearing ass whilst I build my Swiss Family Robinson fort)
3) Robert Earl Keen (for BBQing the iguana I've killed)
4) Enya (for peaceful rest at night)
5) Ice Cube (for brandishing my Glock to take care of the pirates & cannibals)

LOL

Can I pass on the CDs and take an acoustic guitar??

If not in no real order...
a) the first Smashing Pumpkins album Gish =never betered imo by sp
b) My Bloody Valentine -Loveless =so ahead of its time
c) Strictly Ballroom -Hide Here Forever =before emo was lame it rocked!
d) Teenage Fanclub -Cathloic Education =60s guitar riff lo-fi awesomeness
e) Pavement -Slanted and Enchanted =best garage rock ever

Been listening to all those albums for years and they never grow old.

Oh Man, I think my 5 DIDs would have to be

1. Company of Thieves - Ordinary Riches (for mellowing out)
2. Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thundergod (For fighting off the ninjas)
3. Amon Amarth - With Oden on our side(Incase one AA album isnt enough)
4. Cage The Elephant - Cage The Elephant (For bumming around the island)
5. And a CD with "Bring Ya Whole crew" By DMX on it for Fighting Pirates.

Its a little absurd though...a viking on an Island?
